Does your child constantly ask “How does this work?"  This spring, we will explore simple machines and how they are used in our every day world.  From taking apart sewing machines to making hand tools, we’ll discover all of the concepts and tools that make the world work.  We’ll study engineering by learning about the wheel, axle, and inclined plane to build and race a lego derby car.  We will also experiment with motors and simple coding which can be used in anything from moving toys to robots.  The end of the semester will wrap up with a presentation of the students' exciting final projects.  A lesson plan will be provided for each class that will include resources for further exploration.

Sessions for this course include: January 9, January, 23, February 6, February, 20, March 13, March 27, April 10, May 1, May 15, May 29

Price includes $5/class and $25 for supplies.
