  • After you complete the payment process for the booking fee, you have reserved the space.
  • In 3-5 days, you will be contacted by Knock Knock with an invoice and further information.

 

 

Give your students a field trip to remember at Knock Knock Children's Museum! Self-guided field trips are offered to students early childhood - 3rd grade. As the name implies, this option encourages children, along with their teachers and chaperones, to explore the museum at their own pace.

Scheduling Field Trips

Field trips are available Tuesday - Thursday from 9:30 am - 11:30 am & 10:00 am - 12:00 pm and Friday from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm for groups of 100 children or less. For larger groups, please email fieldtrips@knockknockmuseum.org to book your field trip.

PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday field trips are reserved for Head Start centers and preschool groups (3-5 yrs).

Prices

$10 per student

$10 per chaperone used to meet the 1:5 ratio

$14 per additional adult (payable separately online here)

Teachers/paraprofessionals are free!

Chaperone/Child Ratio

Knock Knock requires one (1) adult chaperone for every five (5) children. We strongly encourage schools to work within this ratio in order to ensure that students have the best possible field trip experience. Field trips with students with special needs or certain pre-school groups can have a higher chaperone/child ratio with pre-authorization.

The school will be responsible for facilitating the booking of chaperones required to meet the 1:5 ratio. The $10 cost of chaperone attendance should be included in the payment Knock Knock receives from the school.

Any additional adults (besides those chaperones used to meet the ratio) that would like to attend the field trip must purchase an additional adult field trip ticket online for $14 here.

A final head count is due 7 days prior to the scheduled date of the field trip.

Head Start Field Trips

If you are registering for a Head Start field trip, please enter promo code HEADSTART23 to waive the booking fee.

Members

Additional parents/chaperones (not included in the 1:5 ratio) who are members will have to pay for admission to the field trip. Field trips ARE NOT included in member benefits!

Access For All Program

Any additional parents/chaperones (not included in the 1:5 ratio) who have a valid SNAP card can purchase a $3 ticket for admission to the field trip. Upon entry to the field trip, you will have to provide your valid adult EBT card and matching license to the front desk personnel. Please note we only allow one admission per SNAP card.

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your field trip with 7+ days' notice before the scheduled date, you will receive a 50% refund less the booking fee.

If you cancel your field trip with less than 7 days notice, you will not receive a refund of any kind.

Parking

Parking is free at Knock Knock. School buses will be directed to park and unload at a designated location and provided with information relative to parking of the bus.

Lunch

Knock Knock does not have indoor facilities for lunch, even in the case of inclement weather. The museum is located near City Park, where park benches and grassy areas are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Payment

We require a non-refundable $50 booking fee to reserve your spot. You must pay the remaining balance no later than 7 days prior to your field trip by mailing a check or paying over the phone. To submit your payment for the remainder of the balance, please:

We require a minimum payment of the $50 booking fee at the time of registration - NO EXCEPTIONS.

***If you are MAILING A CHECK to pay the $50 booking fee, please use code FIELDTRIPCHECK when registering online. This will allow you to reserve your field trip without paying the $50 booking fee by credit card.***

***We MUST receive your check within 7 DAYS of your online registration to keep your reservation. Your registration will be cancelled if payment of the booking fee is not received.***
